Since 1996 FamiCare Inc., chartered as a not-for-profit organization, has aimed to strengthen the emotional stability, intellectual capacity, and the physical well-being of families with limited resources living in New Jersey.FamiCare achieves these goals by providing essential services in the area of Family Prevention, Education, Recreation, and Outreach.

Delivering these services constitutes a necessity considering the following major issues that affect the targeted families including:

Principles of the Outreach Program
HIGHLIGHT OUTREACH PROGRAMS
FamiCare has provided services to meet the changing and increasingly complex needs of families. Following are a few service highlights that relate directly to the proposed Outreach Program.
• Have Co-hosted a successful Adoption Training Program in Irvington in collaboration with Downey Side.
• Conducted Foster Parent Training Program in Essex and Union in conjunction with the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS).
• Currently provides Counseling, Advocacy, Translation, and Case Management for families with children.
• Provided a 1-year educational Program of workshops and seminars with the New Jersey Immigration and Policy Network (NJIPN).
• Promoted the Access Health Program with State Senator
• Provided Prevention of Substance Abuse through the Irvington Municipal Alliance Committee in 1995.
• Sponsored and co-sponsored cultural events in Essex and Union counties.
• Sponsors annual cultural parade in Irvington Township.
• Conducted voter registration, coat, and toy drive annually.
